For a span of three hours, England's Ben Stokes was hinting at a re-enactment of the iconic innings that cemented his reputation into cricketing history. Nevertheless, it highlighted the glaring differences between the sides. The fielding side has been outclassed in the fielding department, dropping five opportunities during Australia's first innings of 511. By contrast, Australia were clinical, summed up by a remarkable one-handed catch by Smith at slip to dismiss Jacks.
