American Armed Forces Executes Lethal Attack in Pacific, Leading to Four Deaths

According to a senior defense spokesperson, the American armed forces carried out a lethal kinetic engagement on a boat in the Pacific Ocean, killing four individuals.

“Joint Task Force Southern Spear carried out a deadly attack on a craft linked to a terrorist group in international waters. Surveillance confirmed the vessel was transiting along a established narco-trafficking route and was involved in narco-trafficking operations. A total of four male narco-terrorists were eliminated, and no US military forces were injured.”

Context and Recent Strikes

This announcement follows a day after an announcement regarding a naval blockade of all targeted oil tankers entering and leaving Venezuela. That statement on online platforms, the American leader alleged Venezuela of using oil profits to fund drug trafficking and other crimes, vowing to escalate the military presence.

Just on Tuesday, the Pentagon stated it had carried out strikes on three boats suspected of trafficking drugs in the Pacific, killing eight people. Beginning on 2 September, more than 20 strikes have resulted in the deaths of at least 99 individuals, the majority off the coast of Venezuela.

Administration Justifies Actions Amidst Pressure

The administration has faced increasing pressure to make public video of a 2 September vessel attack. However, officials have refused to do so. The administration has defended its efforts as a success, arguing it has prevented drugs from entering US shores and has dismissed concerns that it is exceeding the limits of lawful warfare.

Although the administration has stated the operation is about stopping drugs destined for the US, comments from a top official appeared to confirm a broader political objective. In a recently published interview, the senior advisor remarked the president “aims to keep on destroying vessels until Venezuela's president surrenders or concedes.”

This suggests the military campaign may be linked to a strategy to remove Venezuela's current government.
